Meet Sage Insurance, NTHA’s New Insurance Partner

Sage Insurance is NTHA's appointed insurance partner. We're not going to tell you we're different from every other broker. We'd rather show you over time.

Here's what you should know about us, and how we're approaching this. Because we're not turning up just to sell policies, we are here to get to know your business and work with you as risk advisers.

We are building something with the industry, for the industry.

That is what matters to us. A program like this only works when it's built alongside the people who actually run timber and hardware businesses, not designed in an office, and pushed out to members. We want to hear what's working, what isn't, and where members are paying for cover that doesn't reflect how their business actually operates

A bit about us

Sage was founded in November 2023, off the back of many years in commercial broking. The challenge we kept seeing was the same. Businesses with real complexity weren't getting the time, technical attention or practical guidance they needed.

The name Sage reflects what we believe a broker should bring. Clear advice, practical guidance and support when it matters. Not just a policy schedule emailed at renewal.

A broker who has read the lease, knows the stock and understands what a bad claims outcome can cost a business that is not properly covered. That is the kind of sage advice we believe business owners deserve.

What sits behind your policy matters

Insurance should do more than renew each year. It should reflect how your business actually operates. That means your premises, stock, supply chain, equipment, contracts and the financial impact of being unable to trade.

A timber and hardware business is not a simple risk. A well-structured program can make a real difference during broader interruptions such as fire, storm damage, machinery breakdown or restricted access to premises. In those moments, the right business interruption settings, stock limits and policy wording shape how quickly a business gets back on its feet.

Who you'll be dealing with

Travis Wendt, Senior Client & Placement Director. Travis leads the NTHA program and brings specialist expertise in program development and risk advisory. He'll be working directly with members.

Jasmin Gabrielli, Director & General Manager. Jasmin is a founder, business owner and commercial insurance broker with over a decade of experience across high-risk trades, manufacturing and supply industries. She understands the pressure business owners carry and the realities of running a business, not just insuring one. Having built and grown a business herself, she brings practical, commercially grounded advice to Sage clients.

Where we can help

Some members want to know whether their current cover is still fit for purpose. Others are facing a difficult renewal, working through a claim or unsure whether changes to stock, premises, importing or manufacturing have shifted their insurance needs.
